NY NY

This time last year I was wrapping up a pretty amazing couple of weeks shooting the residency of Dance North at the Baryshnikov Arts Centre, New York City.

Thanks to artistic director Raewyn Hill,  Dance North was the first Australian Dance Company to be invited to the BAC for a residency.  It was the beginning of Black Crows, perhaps my favourite piece to date.

Not only was the visit a great reason to head back to NYC, catch up with my crew there, and photograph some amazing dancers at work in one of the most beautiful studios I have been in, but there was a slim chance I would get to see the man himself.  The Dancers, Raewyn and Bradley delivered, and after several embarrassing glimpses and situations, I actually came face to face with Mikhail.

Below are some of the images that came out of that amazing time.
